JONATHAN GOODWIN / BIO
I started making signs in the Valley in the mid-seventies when I moved into the area. Back then, there were no computers so everything had to be done by hand. I would sketch out a design, then paint it on the sign or vehicle with lettering brushes and paint. It took many years of practice to get good at this skill.
In the early 80's, I purchased the first vinyl-cutting computer that came out. I was working in the attic of a local sculptor's workshop/garage, trying to keep up with the increasing volume of work. In 1985, I purchased a piece of land on West Main St. and built a new building, then added on two years later.
Over the years, I have tried to keep pace with the ever-changing technology that is constantly evolving. We presently have a computerized router for carving signs as well as a digital printer for reproducing outdoor durable graphics. We have an experienced and hardworking staff dedicated to giving the customer fast service and a quality product.
Gemini Sign and Design is located in the small town of Conway, New Hampshire, gateway to the White Mountains, only 30 miles from Mt. Washington. We are a full service sign company, able to provide virtually any kind of sign you need, for any size project. Because we live in a tourist area, we specialize in creative signage with a custom look. Local codes forbid interior lit plastic signs, so we tend to make signs out of wood, or more recently, man made substrates that are often more durable and available than wood.
Truck lettering, van lettering and vehicle graphics are a mainstay of our business. Whether identifying a fleet or just one vehicle we can create an eyecatching look that everyone will notice, and that means business for you. We are adept at creating signs to fit any budget. Remember, it has been proven that signs are the most cost-effective method of advertising to a local market, next to word of mouth. With signs, you pay a one-time cost for advertising that works for you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. That's a wise investment.
As you will see on this web site, there is no type of sign we can't make or haven't made over the past 25 years of doing business here in the Valley. Please let us know if we can be of service to you.
